Bring Steel Drums In The Classroom Program to your Elementary School
Rockcreek Steel Drums is launching its new elementary school program Steel drums In The Classroom Spring 2026 to bring two and four week beginner steel drum programs to elementary schools taught by their music teachers using Rockcreek’s instruments, supplies, music and training. After bringing steel pan performances and artist in residence programs to 400 schools and community groups over the past 20 years we are expanding to empower schools to make a beginner steel pan program part of their schools experience. Providing schools the ability to have annual beginner steel band programs for a fraction of the cost of an artist in residence.
Rockcreek Steel Drums participates in the expansion of the Steel Pan Art form of Trinidad and Tobago through 3-5 Day Artist In Residence Visits and with our new program Steel Drums in The Classroom that brings a two or four week steel pan program to your elementary school taught by your music teacher with Rockcreek’s instruments, training, music and equip.
Over the past 26 years we have built thousands of instruments and shipped them to over 30 countries. We’ve taught over 166,000 students in over 400 schools, libraries and community groups to perform in the Rockcreek Steel Band. We have also given thousands of performances.
We would love to bring one of our programs to your school or community group. Based out of the Annapolis, MD area we bring our programs to every county in Maryland all year and to Northern VA, Southern PA, Delaware and DC.
